What We Think?
Why not call any of our Tour Consultants on 020 7100 2323 – they have ALL been to The Marari Beach Resort and can answer any of your questions!

In A Nutshell: Marari Beach Resort manages to retain its exclusive feel despite having being around for some time. A lot of this is due to the timeless combination of ethnic inspired cottages with their thatched roofs and the hotel's green credentials that makes a rather simply designed resort have a rather up-market feel. Marari is a small fishing village so there are no places to dine out locally.

Tips: The Pool Villas are ideal for families as there is more than enough room to put 2 extra separate beds in the living area.

Marari Beach Resort

Marari Beach Resort is set amidst 30 acres of beautifully laid gardens with tree-rich orchards containing coconut palms, mango, jak and other tropical fruit trees. Its peaceful natural environment has made Marari one of the most sought-after hotels in the whole of Kerala and a popular choice with discerning British travellers.

The thatched villas are spread over extensive landscaped grounds and modelled on the houses of the local fisher-folk. These lead down to a superb expanse of white soft sandy beach, shared only with the local fishing community.

The 62 thatched villas are built in traditional Kerala style with an open-air courtyard, complete with a banana or papaya tree.

• Garden Villas
Spacious air-conditioned villas furnished in bamboo and twin or king-size beds, telephone, minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities, in-room safe and a sitting area. The bathrooms have open roofed courtyards with hot and cold water showers.

• Pool Villas
Have the same facilities as the garden villas plus a private garden with large plunge pool.

Fine Dining

An Open-Air Restaurant is located right next to the pool. The fresh catch of the day forms the centrepiece of Fort Cochin, the specialty seafood restaurant. You can choose from a variety of prawns, lobsters, crayfish and the famous 'karimeen', grilled on the spot or prepared to your tastes. Complementing it all is an array of Kerala specialties. Aromatic vegetable stews, spicy chicken gravies, tangy tamarind and kokam chutneys, rice and the popular idiappams that accompany most Kerala meals.

The Beach Grill serves light snacks in an open-air beach area with plenty of hammocks between palm trees providing a welcome shade from the midday sun.

In the evenings, most people head for the Club House Bar where there is nightly soft live music under the stars. The hotel prides itself on being a truly 'green hotel' with a massive recycling programme using totally natural products.
